Unlocking Global Opportunities: A Comprehensive Guide for Handicraft Exporters to Leverage EPCH Trade Fairs and Registration Process

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) plays a pivotal role in promoting Indian handicrafts on the global stage. Established in 1986-87, EPCH is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, protecting, and increasing the export of handicrafts from India. For exporters, participating in EPCH’s trade fair initiatives offers a strategic avenue to showcase products, connect with international buyers, and expand market reach.

Benefits of Participating in EPCH Trade Fairs

  1. Global Exposure: EPCH organizes prominent events like the Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair (IHGF), which is among the few fairs worldwide exclusively open to overseas buyers. Such platforms provide exporters with unparalleled exposure to international markets.
  2. Access to International Buyers: By participating in these fairs, exporters can directly interact with global buyers, fostering relationships that can lead to substantial business opportunities. EPCH also facilitates meetings between exporters and international customers, enhancing the potential for business collaborations.
  3. Market Insights: Engaging in trade fairs allows exporters to stay abreast of the latest market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes, enabling them to tailor their products to meet global demands.
  4. Brand Building: Consistent participation helps in establishing and strengthening brand presence in international markets, leading to increased recognition and trust among global buyers.
