Natural honey is classified under HS Code 0409.00. Organic honey uses the same tariff code; organic status is declared via certification documentation rather than a separate HS classification.
Properly stored honey has a shelf life of 24–36 months. Best-before dates are batch-specific and stated on COA and packaging labels. Honey's natural properties provide long stability when stored correctly.
Store at 15–25°C away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Avoid temperatures above 40°C. Crystallization is natural and does not indicate quality degradation.
Yes, crystallization is natural — especially in mustard and multifloral varieties. We supply liquid, naturally crystallized, and creamed/set honey based on buyer preference and variety.
Standard export honey is gently warmed (below 45°C) for filtration and packing, preserving enzymes and organic compliance. HTST pasteurization is available on request for specific retail requirements.
Standard export filtration removes wax particles and visible debris while retaining pollen for authenticity. Fine filtration and ultrafiltration options are available per buyer specification.
Yes. Melissopalynology (pollen analysis) is available to verify declared monofloral origin. This supports True Source certification requirements and EU authenticity standards.
Our export honey meets ≤ 40 mg/kg for EU markets and ≤ 80 mg/kg per Codex standards. Lower HMF levels are achievable for premium and infant-grade specifications on request.
All export lots meet ≤ 18.6% moisture per Codex Alimentarius. Typical readings are 16–18% depending on variety and harvest conditions. COA states exact batch moisture.
NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) is administered by APEDA. Apiaries, processing facilities, and export operations are certified by accredited bodies with annual audits and transaction certificates per shipment.

High-altitude apiaries in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh produce honey from rhododendron, acacia, and alpine wildflowers in clean organic foraging zones — commanding premium positioning in EU and Japan.
Wild forest honey comes from apiaries in forest-adjacent and tribal cooperative regions of Central and Northeast India. Organic certification covers foraging zones free from synthetic pesticide application.
India offers diverse monofloral profiles (lychee, jamun, eucalyptus) not available from China, with growing NPOP/USDA/EU certification infrastructure. Residue testing and traceability standards match major import market requirements.
